Darby offers typesetting and desktop publishing services to suit your needs. Our professional staff is trained to handle jobs from the layout of your covers to typesetting and formatting your entire job.

Take advantage of our file transfer capabilities that include FTP, CD, DVD, ZIP and Jaz disks. Darby is fully capable on MAC and PC platforms utilizing many of the popular page layout programs such as PageMaker, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, Illustrator and Photoshop. When electronic files are submitted we can utilize our Direct-To-Plate system that bypasses the camera, stripping and conventional plate making. This allows us to offer you lower pre-press cost, faster schedules and superior resolution. We also offer Rachwal and conventional pre-press if you supply us with hard copy.

Our manufacturing facility houses both sheet-fed and web presses. We maintain cream and white roll stock for our web presses and a wide variety of cover papers for our sheet-fed press. In most cases we are able to offer you faster turnaround times on your projects because your stock is already on our floor.

Our web presses are capable of printing paper as light as 30# newsprint up to 70# offset using one to four colors. Our most efficient trim sizes are 6” x 9”, 6.75” x 10”, 7” x 10” and 8.5” x 11”. Other trim sizes are available upon request.

Our Heidelberg sheet-fed press allows Darby to tackle an assortment of projects. Our highly skilled operators are trained to print from one to four colors on a variety of text and cover stocks. We also offer aqueous or film lamination on your covers for added protection.

Darby offers multiple binding options to complete your project. Our comprehensive bindery services include perfect binding, lay flat binding, saddle stitching, side stitching, case binding, trim-4, drilling and specialty finishing such as plastic coil, GBC, spiral bound and wire-O.
